Emilia | One Year Cake Smash | San Diego Children's PhotographerSpring Florals and Smiles. Well, daily life as we have known it has come to a screeching halt as of the last week! And no doubt, it is a scary and unprecedented time with a lot of uncertainty, but on the bright side, it does provide all of us some much needed time to slow down and spend some time with family and to catch up on things in our lives that take the back burner! I am excited to have some time to catch up on blogging....I got too busy just before Christmas and stopped blogging...I am hoping to catch up and blog those past sessions, so if you need some sunshine and smiles in your life right now, check back often! Hopefully these smiling faces will brighten your days! This gorgeous little one is Emilia! We actually did her session recently and just after I delivered the final gallery to her mom, I got this email. "Thank you! I love them so much! Since it looks like we probably won’t be having her birthday party anymore these pictures mean even more to me! ❤️ " It hit me because we never truly now what each day holds and what tomorrow will bring. I don't mean to get 'deep', I know it is just needing to cancel or postpone a one year birthday party, but it holds a good reminder to capture and hold near these memories, life can change so quickly! This session though was perfect! To start, she is just the most gorgeous little thing ever. It wouldn't matter what she was wearing or where she was sitting, she is just stunning! I LOVE a good serious face and she gave us those too, but when she smiled, it brighten the whole room and I felt such joy, my heart wanted to explode, what a gift it must be to have her in their lives each day! What was really something to see though (and made me wish I did more video) was HOW we got those amazing smiles and giggles! The opening song/from Frozen. Yep. Literally as soon as she heard it she would BEAM and SQUEAL and flap her arms up and down....she literally could not contain her excitement. It was literally the cutest thing ever. I told her folks to make sure to video it and send it to Disney, great marketing tool for them! So take a look through her session, some classic portraits, a cake smash and the cutest bath ever. Enjoy these days, the time to slow down and connect with family. We can find sunshine in the storms, here is some for today.
